WHO WE ARE

BlueSky Bioenergy is located in Tijuana, Mexico. We began operations in 2013 following the enactment of Mexico’s Energy Reform. Our passion is to help solve the ecological problems derived from traditional refining processes, using our team’s combined 75 years of experience in the design and construction of refineries in Mexico and around the world. We have designed, built, and now operate a zero pollutants refinery, the first of its kind. We are a point of reference for international markets. The skills developed on several continents are today the real added value that we provide daily.

BlueSky BioEnergy produces high quality Ultra Low Sulfur (ULS) diesel and high-octane fuels.

Our ecological-friendly systems and processes refine hydrocarbon-based waste and crude, such

as: tires, plastic, and used fuel and motor oils.

BlueSky BioEnergy is the first and only private refinery in Mexico. We specialize in the refining

of hydrocarbon-based waste products that we recycle to obtain high-performance, Ultra Low

Sulfur diesel and other high-octane fuels.

Peter O. Estevéz, Co-Founder & CEO

Migrated to the United States from Mexico at the age of 10. Peter attended the Executive Program at Harvard Business School. As an entrepreneur and partner in several companies in the energy sector, Peter has led the acquisition of international companies in Mexico, including overseeing the acquisition of Daewoo Electronics by South Korean conglomerate, Dongbu Group. He is a co-founder and CEO of BlueSky Bioenergy and currently leads the growth and expansion of the company.

Pablo Salas Plana, Founder-President

For the last 28 years, he has resided in Mexico. Pablo earned his MBA from IPADE, the business school of Universidad Panamericana. His passion for ecology and refining processes have led him to specialize in the sector under the tutelage of Engineer José Antonio Cerna and in the founding of BlueSky Bioenergy.

José A. Cerna Casillas, Founder-Chairman

Through his experience and integrity José Antonio was placed in charge of the construction of three major refineries in Mexico and a cryogenic plant in Patagonia, Argentina. In addition, José Antonio oversaw the construction of 50 thousand kilometers of gas and oil pipelines that extend throughout Latin America. Currently José Antonio serves as a key advisor to the Secretariat of Energy of Mexico and is responsible for the construction of the new major refinery in DOS BOCAS, Mexico. José Antonio sits on the board of BlueSky Bioenergy.
